Jewelled with Stars... a poem written by Joan M. McGrath

JEWELLED WITH STARS O lovely night, jewelled with stars, out of the dark pines by the wayside I came to gaze upon thy loveliness. The air is still and tall trees loom by the wayside; they stand deep and holy in the sky, laced with a thousand yellow stars. My way is dim, and leads me to the hills. Out of the raven gloom I go, and look down upon the silent waters in the vale. O lovely night, jewelled with stars, out of the dark pines by the wayside I come to stand in awe before thy mystery.
