Heartfelt words from a letter sent a wee while back... "... This has made me think of the Winnie the Pooh postcard you sent me a long time ago. Do you remember it? I laminated it and have put it on the fridge to remind me of your words. And now I want to share these thoughts with you as you go through your difficult time. On the back, you said "...(the postcard) is sending you JOY and that is most what I want to give you;... a spirit of joy... If you can keep a little corner of your heart where JOY can live, then you'll make it through the dark times... Keep your spirit of joy to lighten your way." This is my heartfelt wish for you on your birthday Mummy...to keep a corner of your heart where JOY can live. These words mean so very much to me since you wrote them over 20 years ago. Joy and playfulness are the gifts you gave to me of yourself and I dearly hope you can find them within you. So "battle on but keep your spirit of fun and joy to lighten your way."
