"We have many many happy memories of time spent with Joan when she came on her UK trips each autumn and will treasure them always. She would arrive in Perth in a flurry of cases and fabulous bright colours and had invariably made friends with her bus driver or half a dozen passengers on the train! She was always up for every excursion or theatre trip as well as family meals and picnics, and she even came up to school one day to inspire my 8 year olds in an Art lesson! I know it's the most dreadful blow for you all and that losing her from the heart of your wonderful family will be a heavy loss to bear. I'm so glad that all the family was together over this very sad time and I know you'll all strengthen and support each other over the coming weeks and months. Sending our love and prayers..."
