Ilana's mother was the only person I have ever met who was "groovy" and yet had an air of the regal. She was so intelligent, talented and obviously loyal and caring to both her family and her artistic community. I know there are a lot of hurting hearts right now. My thoughts and biggest hugs are with all of you! (friend of Tom and Ilana who had met Joan on the beaches of PEI on holiday with the clan!)
